Inman has named Spacial the winner of the Housing and Construction Innovation category in its 2026 Best of Proptech awards. Spacial was announced as a nominee a few days earlier, and Inman published the winners on October 29, 2026.
Why this category matters to us
Homes get built through coordination. Structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and energy decisions all have to agree before a set is issued, and much of the delay in residential construction lives in the handoffs between them.
That is the work Spacial is built for. The platform reads architectural drawings into one connected building model, coordinates structural, MEP and energy systems around it, and flags conflicts while there is still room to resolve them. Licensed engineers review every set before it is issued.
What the recognition reflects
- One model, every discipline. Structure, systems and energy are worked out together, not passed between consultants.
- Checks throughout, not at the end. Code and coordination checks run as the model develops, so fewer issues reach review.
- Engineers in the loop. AI-assisted engineering moves the work forward. Licensed engineers validate it.
It is also Spacial’s second recognition from Inman this year, after being named to Inman’s 2026 Future Leaders in Real Estate.
Thank you
Congratulations to Canibuild, named runner-up in the category, and to every nominee. Thank you to Inman, to the builders and architects we work with, and to everyone who supported the nomination.
What’s next
We will keep building one connected workflow from design to Construction Documents: broader code coverage, deeper coordination across disciplines, and more predictable delivery for the teams who build homes.
